Rosa {The Basics}

To start off, hi. I’m Rosa Leon *insert surname here* or, as I am more commonly called/known, Rosa. My Mum and my closest friends affectionately call me Rotch. My other nicknames range from Swissie, Swiswi, Jumon… none are derivatives of my first names but hey, at least they aren’t insulting. ^^;;

I was born on July 18, 1988 (interesting fact: KBell -that’s what I call her, we’re tight like that - aka Kristen Bell was also born on July 18! 1980, that is) in the Philippines so that makes me 20 years young and a pure Filipina. Currently, I’m a sophomore student of DLS-CSB, pursuing a degree in Production Design (awesome, I know). I would’ve been a junior right now if I hadn’t taken a gap year after finishing high school.

Technically, I am an only child but the way I see it, I’m the oldest of 9 with 4 dogs and 4 cats as my little brother and sisters. For the curious, we have 2 Shih Tzus (Santi and Tim Tam), 1 Siberian Husky (Imogen), and 1 Pug (Paula). Our cats consist of 2 Maine Coons (Kikou and Shawie), and 2 strays or as they are called in Filipino, pusakals (Brie and Jet).

Looks-wise, I do not look like I’m 20. I’m vertically challenged (*coughshortcough*) and on the chubby side. It can be annoying, being seen as a kid but the way I see it, I’m going to be thankful to look younger than I really am when I become 40/50.

I am an Apple/Mac girl.

Rosa {Likes and Dislikes}

I like drawing, writing, reading, photography and watching movies and TV shows. Music is an integral part of my life. Jason Mraz is my husband. I love animals, especially cats. I go crazy over clam chowder (New England style), mozarella sticks, moussaka, sinigang, and sushi. My most favourite colour in the world is black. Close contenders to the title are red, orange, and silver. Broadway musicals have a soft spot in my heart.

With regards to TV shows, I enjoy a lot of crime drama/procedurals (Bones, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, the CSI franchise), 24, Whose Line is it Anyway?, Alias, Little Britain, Gossip Girl, Mythbusters, Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, and Conan O’Brien. I like watching the occasional The Nanny rerun (say what you will about Fran Dreschner, I think she’s fab ^^;;) on Hallmark. When it comes to books, almost anything goes, really. Chick lit, murder mysteries, etc. etc. Same goes for movies though I’m more inclined towards action movies (especially those with cool special effects), romcoms, and comedies.

I dislike cockroaches, vomit (and vomiting), and drama (internet and real life). Most of all, I strongly abhor homophobia, racism, discrimination, and inequality.
